Day 1: Arrival in Fez
Upon arrival at Fez-Saïss Airport, your driver will meet you and take you to your riad in the medina. Depending on your arrival time, you can take a short walk to begin exploring the city. Overnight in Fez.
Day 2: Full Day in Fez
Today you will discover Fez, one of the oldest medieval cities in the world. You will start with the golden gates of the Royal Palace and a tour of the Jewish Quarter (Mellah). Enter the medina, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, through the iconic Blue Gate and visit the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the oldest continuously operating university in the world. Explore the tanneries, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the lively souks filled with crafts, spices, and carpets. Overnight in Fez.
Day 3: Fez → Ifrane → Cedar Forest → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga Desert
Depart after breakfast for the desert. First stop in Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco,” then the Azrou Cedar Forest to see Barbary macaques. Cross the Middle Atlas to Midelt for lunch, and continue through the High Atlas descending into the Ziz Valley. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. Overnight in a hotel near the dunes.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Camel Ride and Camp
Full day in the Sahara. 4×4 excursion to visit a nomadic family, then on to the village of Khamlia to enjoy Gnawa music. After lunch, get ready for a sunset camel ride through the dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional camp under a starry sky.
Day 5: Merzouga → Rissani → Erfoud → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley
Sunrise in the dunes. After breakfast, visit the traditional market in Rissani and continue to Erfoud to visit a fossil workshop. Travel through the Tinghir Valley and take a walk through the impressive Todra Gorges, with cliffs reaching 300 meters high. Arrival in the Dades Valley. Overnight stay in a local guesthouse.
Day 6: Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
Route through the Valley of Roses and the palm groves of Skoura, passing through kasbahs and Berber villages. Stop in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” and visit the famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site. Cross the High Atlas through the Tizi n’Tichka pass and arrive in Marrakech at dusk. Overnight stay in the medina.
Day 7: Full Day in Marrakech
With a local guide, you will discover the red city: the Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, and the Koutoubia Mosque. After lunch, visit gardens and stroll through the lively souks. Finish at Jemaa el-Fna Square, filled with musicians, storytellers, and food stalls. Night in Marrakech.
Day 8: Marrakech → Casablanca → Rabat
After breakfast, departure for Casablanca. Visit the majestic Hassan II Mosque, with its 210-meter minaret facing the ocean. Stroll along the corniche before continuing on to Rabat, the country’s capital. Overnight stay in Rabat.
Day 9: Explore Rabat → Transfer to Chefchaouen
In the morning, visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Continue on to the Chellah necropolis. After lunch, travel north through the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen. Spend the night in a riad.
Day 10: Free day in Chefchaouen
A relaxing day in the “Blue Pearl.” Stroll through its blue-painted streets, visit craft shops, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Ideal for photography, shopping, or relaxing in cafes with mountain views.
Day 11: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fez
Departure after breakfast to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, famous for their mosaics. Continue to Meknes, with monuments such as the Bab Mansour gate and the Sahrij Swani pond. Arrival in Fez in the afternoon. Overnight stay in Fez.
Day 12: Departure from Fez
