Day 1: Casablanca → Chefchaouen

Your adventure begins in Casablanca, Morocco’s economic hub. After meeting your driver, visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, an architectural gem facing the Atlantic Ocean, famous for its intricate tile work and towering minaret. Then, head north towards the Rif Mountains. Arrive in Chefchaouen, the “Blue Pearl” of Morocco, with its maze of indigo-painted streets and charming mountain atmosphere. Spend the afternoon exploring the medina, sipping mint tea in the main square, or walking to the Spanish Mosque to enjoy a spectacular sunset over the city.

Day 2: Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fez

After breakfast, you will have free time to continue exploring the artisanal and photogenic streets of Chefchaouen. Then, travel south to Volubilis, an impressive Roman archaeological site with well-preserved mosaics, triumphal arches, and remains of ancient villas. Continue on to Meknes, a quieter but equally fascinating imperial city known for its monumental gates and historic architecture. Highlights include the grand Bab al-Mansour gate and the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. In the afternoon, continue on to Fez, where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Full day of exploration in Fez

Today you will discover the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco in depth with a guided tour. Start at the majestic gates of the Royal Palace and enter the old medina (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) through Bab Boujloud, the famous Blue Gate. Explore the labyrinth of narrow streets lined with souks, visit the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the traditional tanneries. You will also visit Al Quaraouiyine University, considered the oldest functioning university in the world. End the day by visiting the Mellah (Jewish quarter) and enjoying a panoramic view of the city from a nearby hill.

Day 4: Fez → Middle Atlas → Ziz Valley → Merzouga

Leave Fez behind and head south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Your first stop will be in Ifrane, a picturesque town known for its Alpine-style architecture and fresh mountain air. Continue through the cedar forests near Azrou, where you can observe Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. Cross the Tizi n’Talremt pass and descend into the fertile Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves and ancient ksars (fortified villages). Pass through Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops, before arriving in Merzouga. Swap your car for a camel and venture into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. At your desert camp, enjoy Berber music, dinner under the stars, and an unforgettable night in the Sahara.

Day 5: Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley

Wake up early to see how the sunrise paints the dunes in golden hues. After breakfast, return by camel to Merzouga and continue on to Rissani, a city with a rich historical past and a lively local market. Then head to Erfoud and later to the majestic Todra Gorge, where cliffs up to 300 meters high rise above a narrow river. Enjoy a walk through the canyon before continuing on to the Dades Valley, famous for its rock formations known as “Monkey Fingers” and its ancient kasbahs. You will spend the night in a peaceful setting surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.

Day 6: Dades Valley → Valley of Roses → Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou → Marrakech

After breakfast, travel through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs and Kelaa M’gouna, Morocco’s rose production center. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” where numerous international films have been shot. Visit nearby Aït Ben Haddou, a spectacular adobe ksar declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, with panoramic views of the valley. Then, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, stopping to admire the breathtaking views. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.

Day 7: Guided tour of Marrakech

Spend the day exploring Marrakech, the lively “Red City.” Visit the Koutoubia Mosque with its iconic minaret, the Saadian Tombs, and the magnificent Bahia Palace. Relax in the serenity of the Majorelle Garden before losing yourself in the colorful souks of the medina. At sunset, head to Jemaa el-Fna Square, where snake charmers, musicians, storytellers, and food stalls create a unique open-air spectacle.
