Day 1: Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Gorges

Early departure from Marrakech to cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with stops to admire views of valleys, rivers, and Berber villages. Visit the Kasbah of Telouet, a historic palace with intricate Berber decorations.

Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a red clay kasbah declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its cinematic history. After lunch, explore the film studios and historic kasbahs of Ouarzazate. Travel through the fragrant Valley of Roses to the Dades Gorges, where you will spend the night surrounded by breathtaking canyon scenery.

Day 2: Dades Gorges → Todra Gorge → Erfoud → Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, tour the Dades Gorges before visiting the Todra Gorge, an impressive canyon with cliffs over 300 meters high. Stroll along the river and the shaded oasis lined with palm trees.

Continue towards Erfoud, entering the Saharan region of Tafilalet, and arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. Meet your camel guides and ride through the dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset. Settle into your desert camp to enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music, and an unforgettable night under the starry sky.

Day 3: Exploration of the Merzouga Desert

Wake up early to watch the sun rise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore the desert by visiting nomadic Berber families, local lakes, and small villages that sustain life in this region. Experience live Gnawa music, a fusion of African rhythms and spiritual chants.

In the afternoon, explore the streets and market of Merzouga. In the evening, relax at your desert accommodation and enjoy the tranquility of the Sahara.

Day 4: Merzouga → Ziz Valley → Cedar Forests → Fez

After sunrise, leave the desert and travel through the fertile Ziz Valley, known for its extensive palm groves and green landscapes. Stop to take photos and admire the surroundings.

Continue to Midelt, located between the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, for lunch and exploration. Then drive through the cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques. Stop in Ifrane, nicknamed Little Switzerland for its alpine buildings and neat streets. Arrive in Fez in the afternoon for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Full Day in Fez

Spend a whole day exploring Fez with a guided tour of its medieval medina. Stroll through the narrow streets lined with leather, spice, and craft shops. Visit Al Qarawiyyin University, the Merinid Tombs, the Jewish quarter (Mellah), the Royal Palace, and the Jnane Sbil Gardens. Admire the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud) and witness the artisanal leather-making process at the Chouara Tannery, immersing yourself in the city’s rich history and culture.

Day 6: Fez → Casablanca

Early departure for Casablanca, enjoying the scenery along the way. Upon arrival, visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, located on the shores of the Atlantic, and admire its imposing architecture. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before concluding your trip at your hotel or transferring to the airport, marking the end of a 6-day Moroccan adventure.
