Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will be transferred to your riad or hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the vibrant city at your own pace. Wander through the lively medina, stroll through the colorful souks, and experience the energy of Jemaa el-Fnaa square with its street performers and food stalls. Traditional Moroccan dinner and overnight stay in Marrakech.

Day 2: Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Ait Ben Haddou → Dades Valley

Early departure from Marrakech to cross the High Atlas Mountains. You will ascend the Tizi N’Tichka pass at 2,260 meters, with stops to admire the breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, valleys, and Berber villages. Visit the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its labyrinth of adobe buildings, famous for appearing in numerous films. Continue through the fragrant Valley of Roses until you reach the Dades Valley, known for its spectacular landscapes and winding roads. Dinner and overnight stay in the Dades region.

Day 3: Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Erfoud → Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, travel to the Todra Gorges, an impressive canyon with cliffs almost 300 meters high. Relaxed walk through the gorge, surrounded by palm groves and rock formations. Continue through small Berber villages and Erfoud, a town famous for its dates and fossils. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. Prepare for the desert experience, dinner, and overnight stay in Merzouga.

Day 4: Exploring the Merzouga Desert

Full day dedicated to exploring the Erg Chebbi dunes. 4×4 desert excursion visiting remote villages, oases, and local nomadic families. Stop in the village of Khamlia to enjoy traditional Gnawa music accompanied by mint tea. In the afternoon, camel ride at sunset among the dunes. Traditional dinner under the stars and night in a desert camp, enjoying the serenity of the Sahara.

Day 5: Merzouga → Dakar Rally Route → Tafraoute Sidi Ali

After breakfast, departure from Merzouga following the historic Dakar Rally route through the desert landscape. Stops at Berber villages such as Taouz, Ouzina, and Ramlia to learn about rural life in the region. Arrival in Tafraoute Sidi Ali, a village with unique desert landscapes and mining heritage. Dinner and overnight stay in a traditional Berber guesthouse.

Day 6: Tafraoute Sidi Ali → Zagora → Agdz → Ouarzazate

After breakfast, tour the picturesque Draa Valley, with stops in Zagora and Agdz. Visit Tamnougalt, an ancient kasbah surrounded by palm trees and mountains. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “gateway to the desert” for its film studios and surrounding landscapes. Dinner and overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

Day 7: Ouarzazate → Ounila Valley → Telouet → Return to Marrakech

Visit the famous film studios in Ouarzazate before touring the picturesque Ounila Valley. Stop at the Kasbah of Telouet, an important historical enclave on the ancient caravan routes that linked Marrakech with the Sahara. Return to Marrakech via the Tizi N’Tichka pass, enjoying the breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains one last time. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon, concluding an immersive 7-day Moroccan adventure.
