The adventure begins early from Fez, heading south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” famous for its clean streets, alpine architecture, and manicured gardens. Next, visit the cedar forest near Azrou, where Barbary macaques live in the wild.
The journey continues through Midelt, famous for its apple orchards, with a short stop for lunch. Then you cross the picturesque Ziz Valley, with its palm groves and panoramic viewpoints. As evening falls, enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music by the campfire, and an unforgettable night under the stars.
Day 2: Sahara Desert – Tinghir – Boumalne Dades
After a magical sunrise in the desert, the day begins with exploring the dunes and visiting the village of Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music. Enjoy tea with nomadic families and admire ancient rock carvings as you travel through the desert landscapes.
In the afternoon, the route heads to Tinghir, famous for its palm groves and the impressive Todra Gorges. Afterwards, you will continue on to Boumalne Dades, admiring its valleys, cliffs, and traditional Berber villages, where you will spend the night.
Day 3: Boumalne Dades – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate
The tour heads to the fragrant Valley of Roses, where you can enjoy the landscape filled with roses and, depending on the season, the traditional harvest. Then you arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert” and the center of the Moroccan film industry.
Explore its film studios, sample the local cuisine, and stroll through the city to discover kasbahs, souks, and quiet streets. In the evening, relax and enjoy the serene atmosphere of the nearby desert.
